Position Overview
We’re looking for a versatile, detail-driven Graphic Designer – Custom / SMU Products to join our team. This role blends creative design for custom client projects with technical expertise for production-ready files. You will create full creative mockups, embroidery mockups, and detailed tech packs, as well as support Nomadix’s production needs for product tech packs and packaging files.
Key Responsibilities
Custom Creative Design
Develop full creative custom mockups for clients, aligned with brand guidelines and customer requirements.
Create embroidery mockups, placement diagrams, and colorway visualizations.
Collaborate with Creative and Custom Managers to refine and finalize client designs.
Technical Design & Documentation
Build accurate, detailed tech packs for custom projects, including specifications, materials, colors, and Pantone callouts.
Maintain and update Nomadix standard product tech packs for production.
Prepare production-ready files for packaging, labels, and hangtags.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with the production team to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility in designs.
Work with the Creative and Custom teams to align custom designs with the overall brand aesthetic.
Requirements
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in graphic design, product design, or technical design (soft goods / apparel / accessories preferred).
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Strong understanding of embroidery design preparation and print production processes.
Experience creating detailed tech packs and production documentation.
Knowledge of packaging design and dyeline preparation.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and file management skills.
Ability to balance creative vision with practical production constraints.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus Skills
Experience with sustainable materials and design.
Understanding of textile printing methods, color matching, and Pantone systems.
Mockup rendering experience.
