JOB SUMMARY
The Equus Global Mobility Platform encompasses the Tax and Compliance Engines to support all types of mobility, including remote work, business travel, one-way relocation, commuters, project work and the traditional long- and short-term assignments. The Tax Engine powers cost estimates and compensation calculations; and the Compliance Engine assesses income tax and social security obligations using double tax treaties and social security agreements.
As a Tax Analyst within our Tax Products team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the accuracy, efficiency, and innovation of our Tax and Compliance Engines. You will support the team in delivering quality updates to the 200+ tax jurisdictions within an Agile framework. You will also participate in the design and maintenance of internal efficiency tools using automation platforms and bespoke tooling.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with Equus and clients’ project teams to design and implement solutions to meet clients’ tax needsConsult with client tax experts to translate tax policy needs into software requirements.Conduct tax research using legislative sources to identify changes impacting the productsContribute to continuous improvement of internal processesPrepare and deliver presentations for clients and prospectsMaintain current tax-related qualification and / or obtain new qualification as agreed with EquusDeliver high quality work inline with expectations of the roleRequirements
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with coursework in Tax / Accounting, Business Analytics, Tax, Information Technology, or other business areas (note : this is not a traditional finance position)2-3 years of Expatriate Tax or Employment Tax experience preferably a mix of in-house from a Multinational Company and / or Big4ATT Tax Professional certification, or equivalentStrong technical aptitude, especially in Excel and databases (MS SQL, MS Access)Experience with expatriate tax cost projection softwareGreat communication skills, including ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionalsStrong organization and process-oriented skillsAdept at learning new technologyFlexible attitude and ability to lead othersAbility to travel up to 20%The ideal candidate is a smart tax professional who :
