Job Description

This is a remote position.

Job Highlights

Contract : Independent Contractor

Schedule :   Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM (Newcastle, NSW)

Note :   Includes a one-hour unpaid lunch break

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex Power BI dashboards and reports from multiple data sources.
• Perform data transformation, modeling, and visualization using Power Query and DAX.
• Ensure reports are scalable, secure, and user-friendly for business users.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis tools) for reporting and data insights.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into clear, actionable outputs.
• Support optimization of processes within the Microsoft ecosystem (SharePoint, Planner, Forms).

Requirements

Requirements : 2–3 years’ experience in a Data Analyst role or similar. Strong expertise in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, modeling, dashboard development). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced functions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical insights in plain language. Ability to manage time effectively and work to tight deadlines. Nice to Have Exposure to Power Automate and PowerApps for automation and process improvements. Familiarity with SharePoint, Planner, and Forms. Basic SQL knowledge for data querying and extraction.
