Summary

As an Application Designer, you will assist in defining requirements and designing applications to meet business process and application requirements. Your typical day will involve working with Java Enterprise Edition, analyzing requirements, and designing efficient and scalable applications.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of business process and application needs.
Design and develop high-quality applications using Java Enterprise Edition, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
Create technical specifications and design documents, outlining the architecture and functionality of the applications.
Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability.
Troubleshoot and debug application issues, identifying and implementing effective solutions.

Professional & Technical Skills

Required Skill : Proficiency in Java Enterprise Edition.

Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.

Experience with designing and developing scalable and efficient applications.

Knowledge of database systems and SQL for data manipulation and retrieval.

Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Experience with version control systems like Git.

Understanding of software testing methodologies and tools.

Technology Architecture Expertise

Cloud Architecture (AWS)

Deep understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework and its five pillars (Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, and Cost Optimization).

Proven ability to design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures on AWS, considering high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

Experience with various AWS architectural patterns and best practices, including microservices, serverless computing, and event-driven architectures.

Expertise in core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, AWS Config, etc.) and their architectural implications.

Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and integration patterns.

Containerization And Orchestration

Deep understanding of containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).

Ability to design containerized application architectures and deployment strategies.

Experience with container image management, registries, and security best practices.

DevSecOps and Automation - CI / CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) :

Strong understanding of CI / CD principles and best practices.

Expertise in using IaC tools (e.g., Terraform) to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.

Experience with Shiphats or similar CI / CD platforms.

DevSecOps Practices

Experience integrating security into the CI / CD pipeline (DevSecOps).

Proficiency with security testing tools (SAST, DAST) and methodologies.

Understanding of security automation and orchestration.

Additional Information

Experience in Java Enterprise Edition.

Possess a strong educational background in software engineering, computer science, or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering high-quality applications.
