Primary Responsibilities
Customer Service :
Greet customers, answer questions about products or services, and help them locate items, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Transaction Processing :
Scan items, calculate total costs, and process payments using cash, credit / debit cards, checks, and other forms of payment.
Payment Handling :
Collect payments, provide accurate change, and issue receipts for all purchases.
Returns & Exchanges :
Handle customer returns, exchanges, and complaints according to store policies.
Cash Management :
Count money in the cash register at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accuracy and adequate change for transactions.
Store Presentation :
Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy checkout area.
Product Assistance :
Provide product information and, when appropriate, upsell or cross-sell products to customers.
