Overview
As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company. This includes financial planning, accounting practices, maintaining relationships with investors and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. As a strategic leader, you will provide financial insights and guidance to support the company's growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a proven track record of financial leadership and a deep understanding of financial best practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate and timely financial projections.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Manage the company's audits, both internal and external.
- Maintain a strong system of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
- Manage the company's cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity to meet operational needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
- Oversee investment activities and manage financial risk.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
- Provide financial guidance and support to other departments within the company.
- Communicate financial information effectively to the executive team, board of directors, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain relationships with investors, analysts, and other members of the financial community.
- Prepare and present financial information to investors, as needed.
- Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure the company has adequate insurance coverage to protect against potential losses.
Qualifications
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in good standing.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting standards.Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.#J-18808-Ljbffr
