Engineering Director

Job description6+ years of professional software engineering experience Strong project management skills with experience in using project management tools like Linear. Proficiency in Typescript and React, with a solid understanding of software architecture and design principles. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a results-driven approach to software development. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving project objectives. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a hybrid work environment. Familiarity with design tools like Figma, enhancing collaboration between the development and design teams. Experience with Python, adding versatility to your technical skill set and contributing to projects requiring a broader range of technologies.
Philippines - Hybrid Work Environment (Meet in Makati office once a month)
We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Director to oversee and elevate the performance of multiple software development projects and engineering teams. This role is ideal for a technically adept leader with a strong background in system design, hands-on software development, and coaching engineers toward excellence in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Responsibilities :
- Project Oversight : Own the success of 5–10 client projects , ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
- Technical Supervision : Guide the technical architecture of each project, making sure engineering teams are building the right solutions the right way.
- Team Management : Directly manage and support a team of 10–20 engineers , working on different client projects. Identify performance gaps, provide coaching, and promote growth.
- Reporting : Communicate project health and engineering performance to executive leadership, providing insights and recommendations.
