Job Summary
We are looking for a Cost Accountant who will be responsible for planning, analyzing, and controlling costs to help improve profitability and decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, analyze, and summarize data to determine costs of business activities (purchases, inventory, labor, overhead, etc.).
Maintain and monitor cost accounting system, cost ledger, and standard costs.
Prepare cost estimates for new products and product costing analysis for existing items.
Conduct variance analysis (standard vs. actual costs) and report significant issues to management.
Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts.
Coordinate with Purchasing, Assembly, Warehousing, and Sales departments to ensure cost accuracy.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards.
Qualifications
Graduate of Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or any relevant business course.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, preferably in a trading, distribution, or manufacturing setup.
Proficiency in accounting systems (Oracle or equivalent ERP experience preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
