Overview of the Role
The Accounting Team Lead will oversee a group of Bookkeepers, all working together within the same Super Firm / firm portfolio, supported by a Finance Business Partner. Additionally, this role guarantees the precise and prompt execution of all transactional finance processes and acts as the primary escalation point for the Finance Business Partner.
Main duties include :
- Lead and coach a team of 2–5 Bookkeepers, ensuring all processing and reporting deadlines are met.
- Oversee end-to-end execution of all finance processes (AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, payroll coordination, tax support), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor KPIs and SLAs, resolving escalations and process issues quickly.
- Collaborate with FBPs to ensure data integrity and smooth delivery of reporting and insights.
- Drive standardization and continuous improvement across assigned firms processes and across the wider team in preparation for eventual ERP and functional pod transition.
Requirements
A graduate of BS Accountancy, Accounting Technology and other related coursesWith at least 5+ years’ AU accounting experience.CPA / CA credential is a plusProficiency in Excel, Xero and modern ERP systems preferred.Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.Proven ability to translate data into actionable business insights.Experience in multi-entity or shared services environments is an advantage.Benefits
