Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned leader to spearhead our growth across Asia, Australia, and Africa. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, ensuring our commercial success in diverse and fast-moving markets. You will manage regional teams, build strong client relationships, and drive initiatives that position our products as the preferred choice in the biofuels and distilled spirits industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, motivate and involve all the team members with a focus on the Business Area Managers to define and execute regional strategies for growing the biofuels and distilling markets.
- Drive market development through both direct sales and distributor partnerships across Asia.
- Oversee Supply Chain and Logistics operations when needed
- Apply technical understanding of biofuels plants and distilleries to support business decisions.
- Able to work with the team as technical advisor : protocols for trials, trials set-up, analysis of results, discuss process and profitability with senior customer managers.
- Communicate complex ideas in a clear, simple way to audiences with English as a second language, ensuring understanding.
- Analyze and interpret Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and economic models to guide decision-making and optimize performance.
- Monitor market conditions, government policies, and social trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Reinforce alignment between business, country, and customer strategies within the team.
- Assess and manage risks effectively, making informed decisions to support growth.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
- Negotiate and manage contracts, including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs), and other commercial agreements in collaboration with legal and executive teams.

Technical skills
Required
oCommercial and Technical Skills : a Business degree (Business Administration, Marketing or related) and / or a Technical Degree (Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology or related Engineering degree)o Technical experience in fermentation and production processo Fluent English, and a plus if you speak another foreign languageo Strong financial acumen with the ability to understand and act on P&L statements and economic modeling.o Experience negotiating contracts and legal agreements (NDAs, MTAs, etc.).An asset
o 12 years or more of experience, including international experience, at least 10 of them being in the biofuels, distilled spirits or energy sales, or industrial biotech sectorsPersonal abilities
