Assistant Chief Engineering role at Dusit Doha Hotel | Dusit Hotel & Suites - Doha
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain departmental rules for guiding staff performance.
- Ensure all employees are fully familiar with and strictly adhere to hotel policies relating to fire, safety, hygiene and health.
- Develop engineering strategic plan with assistance of local management team.
- Maintain all equipment in good condition.
- Maintain all Technical Staff at high morale.
- Prepare staff roster and organise shifts to ensure appropriate staffing.
- Maintain work attendance records for payroll purposes.
- Organise training for Junior Staff.
- Allocate daily work orders and supervise progress.
- Share responsibility with DoE for supervision of outside contractors working in the hotel.
- Supervise water treatment operation and monitor tests.
- Record data on a daily or other periodical basis for control purposes.
- Supervise established guidelines and systems to ensure the most efficient operation at the most economical cost.
- Prepare, with Chief Engineer, departmental budgets and monitor progress to contain costs.
- Promote a high level of interaction with other departments to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Conduct daily rounds of the hotel back of the house and public areas, checking every outlet for deficiencies and raising maintenance requests accordingly.
- Instruct and assist Plant Supervisor in chemical testing of all water systems and advise on proper remedial action.
- Approve the monthly shift system.

Bachelor degree in Engineering.Minimum 5 years of experience in a 5‑star hotel.Sound knowledge in Building Services Engineering and Management.Good command in English.Seniority level
