Job descriptionInitiate improvement projects in the laboratory and / or chemical analysis procedures that will positively impact the plating process efficiency.Maintain and perform daily review / analysis of SPC charts for all plating chemicals.Ensure that all metal content analyses are carried out on a periodic basis.Handles direct and indirect material qualification and work hand in hand with the plating engineer during actual process evaluation.Handles all plating chemical related projects for usage reduction and cost savings.Manage all laboratory equipment and coordinate with in-house PM group, calibration laboratory and OEM / third party provider and performs MSA (Measurement System Analysis).Manage the analytical procedures for plating solution and maintains / update specification on Plating Chemicals Analysis (12MCE47532G).Supports in-process sustaining activities at chemical dipping, plating, and stress relief bake processes.Develops and institutes process and quality controls.Perform buy-off and qualification of new plating lab equipment.Education oMust be either graduate in the field of BS in Chemical Engineering or BS Chemistry. oLicense oRegistered Chemist.Experience oAt least 1+ years experience in electroplating process (tin plating / general plating). oFresh graduates are also welcome to apply. oSkills and Knowledge RequirementKnowledgeable in plating machine support requirements.Experience with JMP, Minitab, Tableau or similar software preferred.Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, and problem-solving / troubleshooting skills.Comfortable in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment.Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to manage conflict in a stressful environment.Understands and listens to team members and fosters a productive team environment.Handles multiple projects and priorities.Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.Proficient in advanced techniques with relevant software : MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc. in addition to experience working within shared work environments.
