Job Overview :
We’re looking for an experienced Estimator who thrives on accuracy, independence, and challenge. In this role, you’ll lead the charge in preparing detailed cost estimates, conducting quantity take-offs, and managing tender submissions for diverse construction projects. If you take pride in turning drawings into winning bids and building strong industry relationships, this is your arena.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze project documentation to prepare accurate and timely cost estimates
- Conduct quantity take-offs using Bluebeam, CostX, or similar tools
- Prepare and submit tenders and scope of works for subcontractors
- Source, compare, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Maintain updated pricing databases and assess contract variations
- Attend tender interviews and contribute to value engineering discussions
- Evaluate estimating processes for efficiency and continuous improvement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
Requirements
Qualifications :
Minimum 5 years of construction estimating experience (Australian experience preferred)
Qualification in Building & Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related trade
Experience using Bluebeam
At least 1 year estimating internal linings and external cladding, or hands-on experience in these works
Proficient in CostX, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Able to manage multiple tenders and work independently or in a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
