We are seeking a Controller to oversee the financial operations of a leading digital publishing company in the United States. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in both financial accounting and FP&A, with a strong desire to grow their career within our dynamic and forward-thinking company. The Controller will play a critical role in financial planning, budget management, and corporate internal controls while also being tasked with building and leading a team of accountants, collection personnel, and FP&A analysts.

Responsibilities :
Take full charge as the Controller, overseeing all financial transactions including end-to-end AP and AR processing, prepaids, accruals, commission calculations, collections, and bank reconciliations.Lead the monthly accounting close process, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP or IFRS.Collaborate with the HR department to manage personnel-related transactions, such as benefits, 401k, T&E, and payroll.Develop and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and operational procedures to improve the accuracy and reliability of financial records.Take the lead in annual external audits, research and development research, and the tax filing process.Participate in financial due diligence by enhancing corporate internal controls, including vendor contract management and cost control.Manage the company's Net Working Capital (NWC), cash flow, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and Days Payable Outstanding (DPO), among other key financial performance metrics.Hire, mentor, and develop a proficient team of staff accountants, collection personnel, and FP&A analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Qualifications :
An accounting certification (CPA or CMA) and a 4-year university degree.You have over five years of experience in a senior role, such as a Sr. Manager, Controller, or CFO of a mid-sized company.You possess a robust technical financial accounting knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS, with experience in both accounting and FP&A.You are driven to grow your career within our company or elsewhere.Your English communication skills are excellent, and you have a sense of humor and a strong sense of urgency.You can step in and effectively perform tasks several levels below your role if needed.You can simplify tasks and processes for your team, ensuring efficiency and clarity.
