COX Process Engineer Visual Inspection

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and optimizevisual inspection (VI) and AOI processesfor pump laser diodes
• Optimize and maintainlaser and components inspection criteria including cosmetic optical and mechanical defect standards
• Analyze inspection data to identify defect trends impactingoptical performance reliability and yield
• Establish and managedefect librariesspecific to pump laser diode
• Collaborate withProcess Product Equipment Quality and Supply Chain engineeringteams to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Develop roadmap and implementation plan for reduction of visual defects in an agressive timeframe
• Supportfailure analysisby correlating inspection findings with optical electrical and mechanical test results
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduceinvalid failures escapees and inspection cycle time
• SupportNPI qualification and process transfersfor pump laser diode
• Train operators and inspectors onlaser inspection standards defect recognition and AOI operation
• Program and tuneAOI systemsto detect defects related die bonding wire bonding thermal cycling contamination etc
• Support internal and customer audits related to laser inspection and quality processes
• Collaborate with equipment team to determine needs to further improve visual inspection and AOI processes
