Description
The Registered Nurse – Team Lead oversees a team of healthcare associates in a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) environment, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery of clinical and administrative support services to clients. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership skills to guide the team in meeting performance targets, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and delivering high-quality member or patient support.
Leadership & Team Management
Supervise, mentor, and coach a team of nurses, care coordinators, or healthcare representatives.
Monitor daily operations, including call handling, case management, and documentation.
Set team goals, track KPIs, and implement performance improvement plans.
Conduct team meetings, training sessions, and one-on-one coaching.
Handle escalated calls or complex cases requiring clinical input.
Clinical & Quality Oversight
Provide clinical guidance on medical terminology, diagnoses, and care procedures.
Ensure that all interactions and documentation meet HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
Review case files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client protocols.
Support clinical audits and implement quality improvement initiatives.
Operational Coordination
Collaborate with clients, internal managers, and other departments to align workflows.
Prepare performance reports and recommend process enhancements.
Assist in workforce scheduling and resource allocation.
Training & Development
Train new hires on clinical procedures, account processes, and compliance requirements.
Foster continuous learning to keep the team updated on healthcare guidelines and technologies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years clinical experience (bedside)
With at least 1 year BPO team lead experience
