Role Responsibilities

  • Negotiates, closes, and manages strategic and tactical and business partnerships. Responsible for owning the revenue of assigned clients / accounts and managing annual target settings, budgeting, and forecasting as well as identifying and developing partnership opportunities, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • He or she is directly accountable for the achievement of transactional goals and to drive country revenue goals.
  • You will ensure the launch of new products and maintain and expand ecosystem partnerships and / deliver exceptional customer experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and data driven - Builds, reviews and analyzes performance data and competitive data. Introduces new products and pricing proposals. Translates strategic directions into tactical initiatives, metrics, deliverables to grow current and future business.
  • Providing seamless support to the locations of Western Union Retail Services, which consists of Western Union branches and subagent networks.
  • Provides strategy support such as but not limited to strategy formulation, business modelling, business casing, and comparative & competitive analysis.
  • You will analyze market trends and customer insights to support business strategies and decisions. Drive revenue growth by developing and implementing omnichannel sales, marketing and pricing strategies.
  • You will exceed business performance targets and be responsible for managing the budget, business development, service delivery, marketing, and external stakeholder management.
  • You will work internally with finance, strategy, operations, marketing and business leadership to make strategic investment decisions
  • Develop and maintain relationships (including C‑suite level) with key stakeholders, including regulators, partners, and customers.
  • Should be able to also exhibit strong program and project management skills.
  • The BDM controls sales and marketing expenses within the region - he or she is directly accountable for the achievement of transactional and revenue goals.
  • The BDM is also responsible for identifying and prioritizing service quality issues with all levels of the field team.

Role Requirements

  • To be successful in this role you will have at least 7-10 years of sales and business development experience in Remittance, Retail, Banking or
  • Fintech industries. Experience in direct-to-consumer payments across retail channels and digital channels is highly desirable.
  • You have a detailed understanding of the Philippines market, consumer trends, and remittance business overall.
  • You will need to be a strong leader with outstanding influencing and negotiation skills and experience with revenue management.
  • You exhibit high energy and show enthusiasm to get into actions to drive the business and get results.
  • You are familiar with pricing strategies, can influence decisions and are good at negotiation and have a good understanding of the digital business.
