What You’ll Do

As a Part-Time Backend Software Developer, you will build and maintain software systems to ensure efficient operation in support of our professional services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain web applications from concept to deployment, and integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Design, develop, and deploy server-side code using Python and Node.js.
• Design and implement database schemas, queries, and interactions with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed for functionality and data exchange.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to industry best practices and standards.
• Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and maintain high code quality.
• Implement security and data protection measures to safeguard user information and business data.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure smooth operation of web applications.
• Participate in Agile development practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes and capabilities.

What You Are

You are detail-oriented and analytical with a strong passion for backend development. You have a solid understanding of programming languages and frameworks, database management, and software architecture. You collaborate well and bring problem-solving abilities to the team.
