Description

Reporting to the CTO, this is a critical leadership role responsible for leading Cobalt’s Offensive Security Research & Community (R&C) - the fusion of Cobalt’s in-house security research and advanced service delivery capabilities with Cobalt Core, our international community of ethical hackers.

Your team and community of highly skilled and experienced security consultants and researchers will look to you to inspire and innovate in the field of offensive security. You’ll be an expert in the offensive side of cybersecurity, comfortable both geeking out and rubbing shoulders in any hacker village, whilst striding on-stage to educate (and scare) generations of cybersecurity professionals.

To be successful you’ll need to tirelessly engage with a community of super-smart and talented hackers the world over. You’ll be naturally extroverted; a barrage of ideas, research, and multi-threaded chats provide the rush you need to recharge your battery daily.

East coast location is preferred.

You Have

• Deep technical domain knowledge in offensive security, with 7+ years experience delivering offensive security services (such as penetration testing and red teaming)
• Experience delivering consulting and / or managed security services and presenting findings to a customer’s senior technical leadership
• Experience managing and developing high performing teams
• Dynamic public speaker with excellent communication and presentation skills - having previously presented at numerous tier-one cybersecurity conferences
• Prior experience building communities is a significant plus

Cobalt is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $183,200 - $229,000 per year + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. The salary range may differ in other states and may be impacted by proximity to major metropolitan cities.
