Quality Engineer
Description
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Programming or similar educational attainment
- Minimum of 5 years of testing experience - proven work experience in software quality assurance testing
- Strong knowledge on back-end data testing from databases and with familiarity on reports like PowerBI, Tableau or Qlikview
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing , ETL concepts and and SQL scripting (joining tables, aggregation)
- Experience in Data validation in the Data warehouse or Data Lake is highly preferable
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Understanding of software development lifecycle
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Good organizational and problem-solving abilities that help manage through creative abrasion
- Good verbal and written communication; able to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes
- Able to work on a cross-cultural environment
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Experience in working on multiple projects or testing assignments
- Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development process is highly preferable
- Knowledge in Hadoop technology (minimal experience)
- Knowledge in test and defect management tools (HP ALM, JIRA, and similar)
- Knowledge in Life Insurance is preferable
- Knowledge in Azure is preferable
- Automation experience is a plus
- Must be willing to work flexible schedule
