About the Role
- In collaboration with Associate Director of IT Digital, lead AIA’s digital transformation from a design experience perspective
- Evolve and contribute to best‑in‑class digital design systems that define AIA digital experience
- Be responsible and accountable for the quality of Design Experience solutions and adherence to Design System
- Mentor junior designers and build the best‑in‑class in‑house design experience capabilities for Group within the Philippines
- Design and build simple, easy, yet delightful digital experiences for customers and employees
- On‑time delivery of UX solutions that meets AIA Group standards
- Collaborate with peers and cross functional teams to execute best‑in‑class Design based on requirements and project briefing that deliver on both customer and business outcomes

Roles and Responsibilities
Design (75%)
Collect / understand / negotiate requirements, constraints (time / technology), and expectations, and independently manage the creation of UX / UI solutions for assigned projectsProduction of key design artefacts ranging from initial sketches through to low fi digital wires, prototypes, high fi wires, user flows, IA maps etc.Contribution to Group Digital Design System (component library with guidelines), and help maintain its component quality at the best-in‑classCollaborate with Design research and Content design team members on the end to end design processCollaborate with design team members across individual BU’s across APAC to shape and deliver best-in‑class digital experiencesStay informed and in tune with the latest developments within UX methodologies, best practices, trends etc., and share with the teamWork with local BUs to balance the governance and autonomy in creating new components and design solutionsReview BU UX solutions and suggest improvementsRespond to and shape design briefs in support of BU requirements and needsTeam management (5%)
Support junior designers on the assigned projects to meet agreed timelines with qualityReview and critique solutions produced by junior designers assigned to the same projects to make sure that the UX solutions meet the Group standardsConstantly identify areas of improvement in our work process, including the process between Group and local BUs, and suggest executable actionsProject management (15%)
Plan design activities for the assigned project, assign tasks to supporting designers, and agree with the stakeholders for the asset delivery schedule with minimal supervisionNegotiate with stakeholders and steer the projects to the right direction from UX perspectives while meeting requirementsManage all the UX activities for the assigned projects while meeting the tight deadline and expectations from stakeholders with minimal supervisionRegularly update stakeholders / PM with the progress of planned UX activitiesMinimum Job Requirements
Experience and Education
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in related fields or equivalent experiencesMin 7+ years of relevant experiencesTrack records of creating truly human centered, delightful customer experiences for large corporations (could be a client)Desirable : Experience in a startup environment / demonstration of an ability to build a team / business from the ground upKnowledge and Skills
Have the highest standards in building the best-in‑class DesignHands‑on design skills with the industry standards toolsUpdated with the latest UX trends, best practices, methodologies, and toolsMust have hands‑on knowledge of the end‑to‑end development process for a large digital products.Superior verbal and written presentation skills to communicate the ideas in a clear and concise manner to designers, technologists, project managers and executivesAbility to think strategically to produce maximum ROI for GroupOthers
