General Ledger Supervisor (FA / BR / GL SEA)

About the Role :
The General Ledger Supervisor will assist the Record to Report Manager in supervising and coordinating General Ledger (GL) operations for South East Asia (SEA) countries. This role ensures the GL team delivers timely, accurate, and high-quality support for end-to-end GL activities, including journals, adjustments, profitability analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee monthly financial closing activities and maintain accurate accounting records
- Review work done by RTR Analysts to ensure accuracy and timeliness in accordance with company policy and local accounting standards
- Oversee journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, adjustments, and P&L analysis
- Review monthly financial reports and balance sheet reconciliations
- Collaborate with country and regional stakeholders to ensure accruals are justified and posted correctly
- Perform trend analysis and analytical reviews of P&L and balance sheet schedules, addressing corporate or regional queries
- Monitor and clear aged balance sheet items in a timely manner, resolving complex discrepancies
- Prepare and maintain management reports, quarterly reports, and statutory accounts
- Coach, guide, and motivate team members to resolve operational challenges
- Drive process improvement initiatives, update process documentation, and strengthen internal controls
- Support IT system changes and enhancements as needed
- Maintain a backup plan for team members and provide coverage when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a recognized professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, etc.)4–5 years’ experience in Record to Report functions, with at least 1 year in a supervisory rolePreferably experienced in a Global Finance Shared Services Centre or logistics industryStrong knowledge of IFRS and tax rulesProven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, both written and verbalStrong data analysis skills with high attention to detail and organizational abilityProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Experience with SAP or other ERP accounting softwareKey Result Areas :
