The Banking / Accounts Payable Support will be responsible for providing support to the finance team in the key areas of banking and accounts payable. This role will work with existing team members to prepare the functions for the next stage of business growth.
Objectives and Responsibilities
Banking :
Process electronic payments, transfers, and deposits
Reconcile bank statements with internal records
Ensure banking transactions are processed into the billing system
Investigate and resolve banking-related issues
Prepare banking reports for key clients
Support audit queries at year-end
Accounts Payable :
Receive, review, and verify supplier invoices and purchase orders
Match invoices with purchase orders
Enter and code invoices into the accounting system
Schedule and prepare payment runs
Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records
Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and discrepancies
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding issues
Ensure all payments are approved in line with internal policies
Prepare recharge invoices to clients for project work
Requirements
Work Experience & Desired Skills Requirements
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in MS Excel; XERO experience preferred
1–3 years of experience in accounts payable
Familiarity with accounting software
