The Project Engineer will be responsible for the successful execution of bottling / packaging line expansion and installation capital projects. This role ensures that all projects are completed within scope, on schedule, and on budget, while adhering to strict safety, quality, and technical performance standards in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- A minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience in project management within the bottling, food, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) packaging industry is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end project management , covering initial engineering design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
- Proven knowledge of utilities and Civil / Structural / Architectural (CSA) works related to production line installation.
- Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera ) and standard project management methodologies.
- Strong ability to manage and coordinate external stakeholders including vendors, contractors, and engineering consultants.
Duties & Responsibilities
Project Execution Management : Lead the planning, execution, and closure of capital projects for new line installation and capacity expansion, ensuring all deliverables meet the required safety, quality, and performance targets.Contractor and Vendor Oversight : Actively supervise and manage on-site contractors, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring strict compliance with engineering specifications, safety regulations, and project timelines.Technical and Design Review : Conduct technical reviews and approvals of equipment specifications, engineering designs, and layouts for packaging machinery and utilities integration.Financial and Risk Control : Monitor and control project budgets, manage risk registers, and process all necessary change control documentation effectively.Commissioning and Handover : Drive commissioning, qualification, and validation ( CQV ) activities, ensuring successful performance acceptance tests and smooth handover of the new assets to the Operations team.
