Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated and highly analytical Project Finance Associate to join our client’s dynamic team in Manila. This role is crucial for supporting the financial structuring, analysis, and execution of large-scale renewable energy projects. You will play a key part in developing financial models, conducting due diligence, and securing the necessary capital to bring utility-scale clean energy projects to life. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional passionate about making a tangible impact in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, build, and maintain complex financial models to support investment decisions, project financing, and valuation for solar, wind, and battery storage projects.
- Assist in all aspects of project finance transactions, from initial structuring and due diligence through to financial close.
- Prepare comprehensive investment memorandums, presentations, and reports for internal committees, lenders, and potential investors.
- Support the negotiation of financing term sheets, loan agreements, and other key project contracts.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential projects, including analysis of market conditions, regulatory frameworks, and counterparty risk.
- Liaise and coordinate with a wide range of external stakeholders, including banks, financial advisors, legal counsel, and technical consultants.
- Monitor the financial performance of existing assets and ensure compliance with all financing covenants.
- Stay updated on industry trends, financing structures, and market dynamics within the regional renewable energy landscape.
Qualifications & Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. A Master’s degree or CFA candidacy is a plus.5–8 years of relevant experience in project finance, investment banking, private equity, or a corporate finance role within the energy or infrastructure sectors.Exceptional financial modelling and valuation skills are essential. You must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.Solid understanding of project finance principles, including debt and equity structuring.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative abilities with keen attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.Fluency in Tagalog and English.A proactive and collaborative team player who can work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.A genuine passion for renewable energy and sustainable development.What’s on Offer
