IT Director role at Crawford & Company
Directs the operation of a comprehensive ICT operation including infrastructure installation and maintenance, security, troubleshooting, policy and procedure direction and administration.
Responsibilities
- Financial
- Assist with forecasting the Departmental Budget
- Corporate IT Asset management for all computer equipment
- Strategically develop and implement Corporate Capital Expenditure plans and forecasts
- Develop cost projections for new projects / initiatives in support of Operations
- Accountable for ongoing budget variation
- Procurement
- Negotiate with vendors and providers
- Development and issuance of RFP / RFQ
- Establish preferred vendor selection
- Extensively plan procurement that supports Corporate project timelines and objectives
- Directs all phases of the procurement cycle
- Manage and maintain vendor relationships
- Special Projects on own initiative and as directed by CIO
- Investigate and research new technologies
- Play a leadership and participatory role in Global ICT initiatives and committees
- Ad-hoc projects and initiatives
- Coordinate the Branch move adds / changes activity
- Human Resources
- Conduct applicable performance reviews
- Review and establish compensation levels
- Monitor absentee report / vacation
- Develop and implement training and development plans
- Infrastructure
- Develop and design standard architecture models
- Research and establish standards
- Accountable for Disaster Recovery architecture and functional viability
- Accountable for Enterprise security and integrity
- Accountable for the Corporate data network, servers, workstation fleet, and storage infrastructure
- Liaise with industry experts to ensure currency with the latest technology
- Ensure the latest emerging technologies are researched and investigated
- Research, select, and implement ongoing support models for new systems and applications
- Administration
- Corporate inventory records
- Development of procedures and policies
- Ensure compliance with standards and various regulatory bodies
- Documentation of configuration standards
- Communication to internal and external stakeholders
- Meet / exceed internal and external SLA measurements
Qualifications
