Salary : $21 to $24 per hour

About the porter / maintenance technician position :

Were looking for a talented porter who will be responsible for the meticulous upkeep of the grounds amenities building exteriors leasing office tour path parking lots and other areas of the assigned property with maximization of the propertys marketing appeal with the highest level of customer satisfaction in mind.

Remove trash and other debris from office areas and property perimeter on a daily basis.

Assist in the preparation of market ready units.

Pressure wash exterior buildings sidewalks etc.

Assist with property emergencies such as snow removal and / or other inclement weather emergencies fires and floods.

Clean available apartments and / or model homes and common areas of the community as directed.

Address property maintenance concerns related to inclement weather conditions.

Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal and interact courteously and professionally with current and potential residents always.

Preserve and respect applicant and resident confidentiality.

Foster a positive active and collaborative relationship with residents other properties and associated agencies.

Clearly and immediately report any maintenance and / or life safety issues identified while performing regular assigned duties.

Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal and interact courteously and professionally with current and potential residents at all times.

Education and Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Skills and Requirements :

Ability to read write and understand English.

Ability to use general office equipment.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Must maintain professional appearance and comply with prescribed uniform policy.

Must maintain a valid drivers license clean driving record and current auto insurance is required.

Must comply with all safety requirements.

Required to complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing Diversity and Inclusion Training within the first 30 days of employment.

Ability to shovel snow apply ice melt and operate a commercial snow blower.
