Project Associate
The Project Associate is responsible for providing support, coordination, documentation, and implementation of activities for the Future Food Systems Project‑Philippines, funded by the International Food Policy Research Institute.
Terms of Reference
- Research Support : Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing relevant data and information for project activities (literature reviews, desk research, synthesis of relevant studies).
- Assist in research and writing reports / briefs.
- Assist in preparing inputs and providing support for the development of a forecasting model.
- Project Coordination : Help plan, implement, and monitor project activities; coordinate with partners and organize events; keep project records updated.
- Technical Writing : Document activities and prepare completion reports; draft presentations, briefs, and infographics; assist in preparing publications and conference papers.
- Administrative and Logistical Support : Support event logistics, procurement, and contracts; track budgets and maintain efficient records management system; draft correspondence as needed.
- Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting : Support the monitoring and evaluation of project outcomes; prepare project status updates and technical reports for the International Food Policy Research Institute or SEARCA management; document lessons learned and best practices.
- Other : Perform other duties as assigned; adhere to SEARCA’s policies on ethics, confidentiality, and data protection.
Required Skills
Proficiency in data encoding, management, and analysis, or other relevant tools.Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills, with a proven capacity to integrate and interpret information from various sources.Knowledge of financial management, including preparation of financial claims and compliance with funder guidelines.Demonstrated experience in budget monitoring and disbursement documentation.Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Minimum Qualifications
Educational background : Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics or Economics.
Work Experience : At least 3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in government or donor‑funded development projects.
