Job Summary
The Supply Chain & Logistics Head is responsible for leading end-to-end global supply chain operations—including procurement, purchasing, logistics, planning, and import / export—within a global shared services environment supporting a dental manufacturing business. The role ensures operational excellence, cost efficiency, supplier performance, service reliability, and seamless global coordination across regions.
This leader will drive strategic sourcing, optimize global supply chain flows, strengthen compliance, and deliver continuous improvements to support manufacturing operations, global distribution, and customer fulfillment.
1. Strategic Leadership & Supply Chain Management
Develop and execute global supply chain strategies aligned with business goals and manufacturing demand.
Oversee procurement, purchasing, logistics, warehousing, planning, and import / export functions.
Ensure supply chain scalability to support product expansion and global market growth.
Lead risk management and contingency planning to prevent supply disruptions.
2. Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
Drive global sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and cost optimization initiatives.
Manage supplier selection, accreditation, performance evaluation, and contract management.
Oversee global procurement compliance with regulatory, quality, and industry standards.
Identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising quality or service.
3. Logistics & Distribution Management
Direct end‑to‑end global logistics operations including customs, import / export, 3PL, and shipping coordination.
Ensure timely movement of raw materials, finished goods, and dental products across global sites.
Optimize freight costs, shipping routes, delivery timelines, and inventory levels.
Partner with logistics providers and monitor service levels for continuous improvement.
4. Operations Excellence & Process Optimization
Implement best practices in supply chain, procurement processes, and logistics workflows.
Drive digital transformation using ERP, inventory systems, and supply chain automation tools.
Strengthen data analytics, KPIs, and reporting to support strategic decision‑making.
Lead continuous improvement programs (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) to enhance efficiency.
5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Work closely with manufacturing, finance, quality assurance, engineering, and global offices to ensure alignment.
Serve as the primary contact for global supply chain escalations and cross‑border coordination.
Partner with leadership to support new product launches, capacity planning, and business continuity.
Ensure excellent communication and coordination across global supply chain teams.
6. Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 16 supply chain and logistics professionals.
Build a high‑performing, collaborative, and service‑oriented supply chain team.
Oversee workload distribution, training, performance management, and succession planning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
Master’s Degree or MBA is an advantage.
Minimum 10–12 years of global supply chain, procurement, or logistics leadership experience , ideally in manufacturing or medical / dental device industries .
Strong background in global procurement and cross‑border logistics operations.
Experience in shared services environment is a strong advantage.
Knowledge of import / export regulations, customs requirements, and global compliance.
Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and supply chain tools.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills.
