We seek professionals who embody our core values : curiosity, clarity, results, commitment, and teamwork.Loadsmart is expanding its Carrier Coverage team, and we’re looking for a driven Carrier Coverage Representative to help secure reliable carrier capacity for customer freight. This role is the primary point of contact for trucking companies and owner-operators, handling inbound and outbound phone calls, emails, and web chat to book shipments and support our growing carrier network.The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, is detail-oriented, and brings a strong customer-service mindset to every carrier interaction. WHAT YOU GET TO DO :

  • Respond to inbound calls and emails from carriers looking to book available freight
  • Make outbound calls to source carrier capacity for open loads
  • Negotiate rates, transit times, and service expectations
  • Vet carriers for compliance, including insurance, authority, safety, and onboarding requirements
  • Book carriers on shipments and confirm all load details accurately
  • Maintain and update carrier and load information within the TMS
  • Clearly communicate pickup, delivery, and load requirements
  • Partner with sales and operations teams to ensure timely load coverage
  • Monitor coverage status and proactively address capacity gaps
  • Deliver timely, professional support to carrier partners
  • Promote Loadsmart’s online platform to carriers and drivers for booking, communication, and tracking

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • At least 1 year of experience in carrier sales, transportation, or logistics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable managing high call volumes while multitasking effectively
  • Proficient in basic computer applications with the ability to quickly learn transportation management systems
  • Able to prioritize tasks and perform under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail with sound judgment and analytical capability
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Results-driven mindset with persistence and strong follow-through
