Team / division overview
Regional Finance EMEA team's primary responsibilities include the analysis and reporting of the financial position and performance of the standalone EMEA entities and sub-businesses of DWS. These outputs are used by Regional CFOs, Business FDs, external auditors, regulators, and various teams within DWS. The team ensures timely and accurate reporting to support informed decision making and regulatory compliance.
Your responsibilities
As Regional Finance Manager, you will prepare financial statements and management reports (Flash, Plan, Forecast, and Actuals) for the DWS UK business FDs and CFO, review entity financials and UK regional results, and work with multiple teams to maintain a strong control environment for accurate and timely reporting internally and externally. Key responsibilities include :
- Prepare high-quality reports (e.g., Interim, Annual, and Regulatory reports) for the regional CFO.
- Liaise with external auditors and ensure accuracy of Financial Statements for statutory annual audits.
- Produce internal reports & analyses (Flash, Plan, Forecast, Actuals) and discuss monthly results with regional CFO, business FDs, and Integrated Financial reporting (for DWS Group reporting).
- Review month-end results, discuss unusual items with DWS Manila teams, identify control gaps, and propose mitigation plans.
- Review and sign-off monthly balance sheet substantiation; ensure substantiated balances are properly supported and unsubstantiated balances are addressed.
- Support ad hoc queries and reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with project deliverables, reviews, and studies.
- Keep operational guidelines updated and ensure adherence to standards, KPIs, and procedures.
Your skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or finance-related field with accounting coursesPreferably CPAExperience in audit, financial and management reporting or analysis of financial data in Financial Services, Audit, or BPO industries is beneficialStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate information, identify trends, and provide solutionsKnowledge of SAP is an advantageAmenable to midshift - 2pm to 11pmHow we’ll support you
