Job descriptionIndividual Accountabilities Standardization & Automation of Service Delivery - Develop and implement standard ways of working for the Service Line, including governance and assurance across the discipline using standardized processes and best practices. Align with Global Procedures. Define the standard GEC role within service delivery and influence alignment across the global business with the GBA Service Director. Own standardized approaches in GEC and lead continuous improvement. Provide assurance that standards are delivered, adopted and complied with. Identify, develop, and deploy automated solutions to repeatable processes to improve efficiency and reduce delivery costs; contribute to service-based digital tools. Drive adoption of digital tools and products within BA’s. Quality / Service Excellence - Develop service delivery plans with high standards of service quality, driving client satisfaction and alignment with Global Procedures. Lead in using optimized ways of working and stimulate Service Leadership in projects with a focus on Quality, Assurance & compliance. Ensure planning of GEC project contributions aligns with the framework. Capability Development - Define strategic and long-term requirements for skills and capabilities; build GEC competence to support growth, efficiency and scale. Promote knowledge sharing through webinars, workshops, and presentations; attract improved work from countries. Connected Data - Develop strategies for selecting, storing, maintaining and reusing data in service delivery. Showcase value from data and participate in global data communities. Sustainability - Drive sustainability in service delivery by sharing best practices and identifying opportunities to embed sustainability. Organization - Establish a GEC network of SMEs and participate in global service communities (SEGs, COPs). Growth - Participate in tenders / global accounts when applicable; contribute to global value propositions and advocate for GEC in global communities; develop growth plans with Discipline Directors and BAs. GEC Contribution - Improve GEC contribution by standardizing work splits between BA and GEC and targeting contributions. Key Shared Accountabilities - Develop GEC capability development strategy; prioritize automation initiatives; coordinate with GEC Automation leads, Digital Intelligence teams, Asset Management, BIM / Design Automation, and Quality functions to deliver integrated solutions. Decision rights - Drive efficiency via standardization and automation; execute discipline strategy; lead GEC communities; drive capability development and digital tools; support delivery. Important Metrics - Adoption of Global Procedures and digital tools; efficiency gains; quality of deliverables; tailored training implementation. Significant professional experience in the service (15+ years), ideally with global exposure and working to diverse standards and practices. Excellent influencing and collaboration skills at a strategic level and leadership at a service level. Strategic mindset capable of identifying opportunities across the business to benefit the service, Arcadis, and clients. Ability to coach and develop teams; strong interpersonal and technical leadership capabilities. Strong stakeholder management, results orientation, and ability to work across cultures. Ability to lead service expert groups and guide content and topics for service development within GEC and globally. GEC Service Director Design and Engineering

Role description
- Purpose - This is a key role within the Global Excellence Centre supporting the global Services strategy and excellence. Drive excellence in GEC service delivery within the service area, position GEC as a centre of excellence, and support the implementation of the global S&A strategy. Ensure capability excellence drives service delivery quality, sustainability focus, and data reusability.
- Reporting Lines - Reports to the GEC Business Area Director / GEC Director, with a dotted line to the GBA Service Director.
- The role is a full time position.
