Job Summary :

Design, evaluate, install, and administer infrastructure components and facilities. Provide technical support services to personnel in other ITG teams. Plan, prepare, recommend, and implement medium-term roadmaps for the infrastructure managed.

Role Exposure :

• Install and administer infrastructure components and facilities under your coverage. Maintain infrastructure uptime, performance, and security at agreed service levels.
• Research industry developments related to assigned infrastructure components to learn and implement better administration practices, understand cost-effective alternatives, and guard against obsolescence. Recommend better or more cost-effective infrastructure replacements when needed.
• Provide technical support to personnel in data center operations, applications management, and risk management. Offer input to application managers on infrastructure considerations for optimal application design.
• Communicate and coordinate with infrastructure vendors regarding product updates, fixes, and support requirements. Review vendor performance periodically against Service Level Agreements.
• Monitor the health and performance of assigned infrastructure components regularly, and report status to supervisors.
• Perform regular housekeeping tasks such as cleanup of unnecessary components, system backups, vendor preventive maintenance, etc., as applicable. Document and keep updated the configuration of infrastructure components securely.
• Manage configuration, change, availability, security, and patching processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend permanent solutions to issues encountered.
• Recommend and implement automation for recurring tasks.
• Identify monitoring gaps and suggest tools and actions to address them.
• Perform capacity management by collecting historical data and forecasting future growth. Set thresholds to alert when resources need to be added and trigger resource allocation as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
