Required Experience :
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field
Licensed Engineer is preferred but not required
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience handling industrial HVAC / refrigeration systems in cold storage or food manufacturing (ice cream industry is a strong advantage)
Strong understanding of freezing dynamics, air circulation, and moisture control
Familiar with blast freezers, ammonia or freon-based systems, and pressure relief systems
Proficient in using monitoring and diagnostic tools for HVAC systems
Willing to be based in Sta. Rosa, Laguna and work on a flexible schedule when needed
Strong leadership, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Plant Engineer must have a deep expertise in HVAC systems and cold storage operations. This role is essential in ensuring the optimal performance of refrigeration systems that support our production and warehousing of temperature-sensitive products.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC and refrigeration systems in cold storage areas (including walk-in freezers and blast freezers).
Ensure all systems meet temperature requirements critical for ice cream production and storage, with consistent monitoring and timely corrective actions.
Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities to avoid downtime or product loss.
Monitor and calibrate temperature control equipment and sensors to ensure system integrity.
Coordinate with external contractors, vendors, and internal maintenance teams as needed.
Maintain compliance with food safety, GMP, and plant hygiene standards relevant to refrigeration operations.
Manage energy efficiency and propose improvements to reduce operational costs.
Keep detailed documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and system logs.
Participate in audits and inspections related to cold chain equipment and infrastructure.
