Job description

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures that support business intelligence, data warehousing, and analytics solutions.
  • Define data standards, governance, and integration frameworks to ensure consistency and quality across the organization.
  • Oversee the selection and implementation of data management tools and technologies (e.g., cloud solutions, ETL tools, data lakes, data warehouses).
  • Evaluate emerging data architecture trends and solutions to continuously improve the data architecture framework.

Business Development and Client Engagement

  • Collaborate with sales and client teams to identify client needs and translate business requirements into data solutions.
  • Participate in proposal development, preparing technical content to support business development activities.
  • Lead or contribute to client presentations, showcasing the data architecture capabilities and solutions.
  • Identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities during client interactions to drive additional business value.

    • Technical Leadership and Project Management

  • Lead data architecture design and implementation projects, providing technical direction and guidance to project teams.
  • Ensure that projects align with client goals and follow best practices in data architecture and security.
  • Act as a liaison between IT and business teams, ensuring that data solutions meet functional, operational, and analytical requirements.
  • Mentor and guide junior data architects and data engineers, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.

    • Data Governance and Compliance

  • Establish data governance processes, including data quality, security, and compliance policies.
  • Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure that data architectures comply with relevant regulations.
  • Implement data privacy controls and support audits to verify adherence to governance policies and standards.

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree holder in Management, Finance, Accounting or equivalent courses
  • Has at least 6 years of experience in data engineering in a customer or business facing capacity
  • Has experience in Data Migrations projects, Data Cleansing and structures
  • Has experience working with a variety of different types of databases such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle and cloud databases
  • Proficient with big data pipelines and data warehousing architectures
  • Has a strong understanding of data modelling, data structures, databases, and ETL processes
  • Has an in-depth understanding of large-scale data sets, including both structured and unstructured data
  • Has the ability to understand and articulate requirements to technical and non-technical audiences
  • With knowledge and experience on the following : BI tools (Power BI / Tableau), Python, Big Data
  • Good analytical, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
