Job description

MedVA is looking for an IT Infrastructure Architect who will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of robust and scalable IT infrastructure solutions that meet the strategic needs of the organization. The role will also focus on integrating workflow management and productivity tools, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and enhancing cybersecurity. This is an initial 90-day contract role with the potential for extension to oversee IT project implementation based on the roll-out plan.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Strategy Development and Execution :
  • Analyze the current IT infrastructure and evaluate ongoing initiatives.
  • Develop and roll out strategic IT initiatives to optimize performance and align with business goals.
  • Workflow and Productivity Tools :
  • Assess and implement workflow and productivity tools, including Monday.com, Google Workspace, and Microsoft products, to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Compliance and Cybersecurity :
  • Ensure IT systems adhere to HIPAA regulations and implement robust cybersecurity measures.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration :
  • Collaborate closely with primary stakeholders, to align IT strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Roll-Out Plan Development :
  • Define a clear roll-out plan for IT initiatives and recommend necessary improvements to infrastructure and tools.
  • Contract Deliverables :
  • Within the initial 90 days :
  • Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the IT infrastructure.
  • Review current IT initiatives and workflows.
  • Deliver a detailed roll-out plan for infrastructure and tool optimization.
  • Potential extension to oversee the management of IT projects based on the defined roll-out plan.

Requirements

EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure design, implementation, and management, with a focus on SaaS and cloud platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience with large-scale IT transformations or rebuilds.
  • Strong understanding of Workflow management / Productivity tools (Monday, Google, Microsoft Products)
  • Familiarity with virtualization, storage solutions, networking, and security best practices.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills.

    • SKILL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Proven experience with designing and rolling-out IT infrastructure for growth companies
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and project management skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, CompTIA, Microsoft) are a plus.
