Job Overview :
The Production Estimator & Maintenance Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless transition from Sales to Construction through accurate cost validation, detailed technical documentation, and proactive maintenance planning.
This is primarily a production estimating role, ensuring Client’s pricing, technical detail, and cost accuracy are of the highest standard. The role also supports Sales with additional estimating during peak demand or complex projects. Additionally, the position leads Client’s Post-Completion Maintenance Program, safeguarding profitability, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency while defending the
company’s workmanship and contractual position.

Key Resonsibilities :
Production Estimating
- Review and validate Sales Estimates and Quotes for buildability, material selection, a nd cost accuracy
- Develop Shop Drawings, Scope of Works breakdowns, and Material Take-Offs aligned with Client’s construction standards and approved designs
- Collaborate with Sales Estimators to refine pricing strategies for complex or high-value projects
- Provide estimating assistance to Sales during peak demand or large tenders
- Continuously improve estimating accuracy, documentation standards, and alignment between Sales and Production
Maintenance Management
Lead Client’s Maintenance Program, including warranty, defect, and post-project service requestsPlan, schedule, and document maintenance activities in compliance with client agreements, manufacturer requirements, and statutory obligationsSchedule maintenance inspections with supervisors, ensuring issues are logged, categorised, and addressed efficientlyPrepare maintenance scopes for handover to Operations for executionDeliver timely and professional responses to clients regarding maintenance issues, with emphasis on fairness, accuracy, and contract alignmentRoute out-of-scope or additional remedial works back to Sales / Estimating for quotingApply construction standards, tolerances, and codes (NCC, BCA, manufacturer specs) to assess responsibility and protect the company’s position in disputesManage interactions with demanding clients professionally, upholding quality standards and ensuring accountability is balancedSystems, Compliance & Reporting
Maintain accurate records and workflows in Knack, Orbis, and Bluebeam for estimating and maintenance operationsEnsure materials, plant, and equipment meet compliance and safety requirementsPrepare reports on estimating performance, cost variance trends, and maintenance KPIs for leadershipCollaborate across divisions to improve efficiency, reduce rework, and enhance communicationAssist with sales estimating and technical pricing support as requiredRequirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant fieldStrong analytical and estimating capability across construction materials, methods, and sequencingMust have at least two (2) years of Australian construction experience and five (5) years as a production estimatorProficiency in Knack , Orbis , and Bluebeam is highly desirable.Skilled in interpreting and producing shop drawings, take-offs, and scope documentationComprehensive understanding of construction standardsHighly organized, process-driven, capable of managing concurrent estimating and maintenance workflowsEffective communicator and problem-solver with strong supplier coordination and cost negotiation skillsResilient and professional under pressure, particularly in client-facing or dispute-resolution situationsBenefits
