About CoolHed : CoolHed is an innovative medical device company revolutionizing stress and anxiety management through thermoregulation and evidence-based breathing techniques. Our flagship product, a TGA-approved Class 1 ice gel headband, leverages cooling technology to stimulate the vagus nerve, enhancing heart rate variability, sleep performance, and mental resilience. With a vision to "clear minds, change lives," CoolHed is launching a groundbreaking research project in South Africa—the first of its kind to study the impact of our technology on stress, anxiety, and sleep. Operating in sports, hospitality, and wellness industries, we are expanding internationally across markets including South Africa, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, India, the UK, Portugal, and New Zealand.

Job Summary : CoolHed seeks a dynamic and experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the company through its next phase of growth and global expansion. Reporting directly to the Director and Founder, the CEO will oversee all aspects of company operations, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure the successful commercialization of our innovative medical device. The ideal candidate will have international leadership experience, a proven track record in scaling startups, and a passion for health and wellness innovation. This role requires close collaboration with the Founder to align operations with CoolHed’s mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership :

Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy to achieve CoolHed’s mission of revolutionizing stress and anxiety management.

Oversee daily operations, including product development, manufacturing, supply chain (via Amazon 3PL), and regulatory compliance for Class 1 medical devices.

Spearhead registration of CoolHed’s ice gel headband in target markets, leveraging TGA approval to streamline processes with ANVISA (Brazil), INVIMA (Colombia), ANMAT (Argentina), and other regulatory bodies.

Oversee influencer campaigns, athlete ambassador programs, and industry‑specific marketing to drive brand awareness in sports, hospitality, and wellness sectors.

Support the South African research project, collaborating with Durban Tech University and other partners to validate CoolHed’s impact on stress, anxiety, and sleep performance.

Work closely with the Director and Founder to align strategic decisions with CoolHed’s vision and shareholder expectations.
