Position : Procurement Assistant Manager
Reports to : Procurement Manager
Interfaces with : Business Development / Operations Group (Construction & Maintenance)
Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Assistant Manager to join our growing team. The Procurement Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting the Procurement Manager in all aspects of procurement, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing products for our stores.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the Procurement Manager in handling tendering and procurement processes to ensure timely and effective purchasing.
- Prepare purchase requisitions and purchase orders (P.O.) accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments for various categories including goods, services, and works.
- Ensure complete bidding compliance documentation and full compliance with company procurement policies.
- Conduct financial reconciliation such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliation.
- Review and validate procurement documents prepared by user units for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable procurement policies and procedures.
- Review procurement-related documents and contracts for completeness and compliance.
- Conduct financial and procurement analysis to support operations, evaluation, monitoring, and legal and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities, evaluate processes and procedures, and recommend improvements.
Prepare and maintain procurement reports, monitoring sheets, and vendor performance evaluations.Participate in process improvement initiatives and support cross-functional teams on day to day inquiries and concerns.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the retail, logistics, facilities management industryMinimum of 3 years as an Assistant Manager or Lead roleStrong negotiation and communication skillsExperienced in procurement processes, PO creation, tendering processes and documentationExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong attention to detailAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesProficient in Microsoft Office and ERP or procurement softwareKnowledge of local laws and regulations related to procurementIf you are a self-starter with a passion for procurement and a desire to contribute to the success of a growing company, we want to hear from you.
