FIXED TERM CONTRACT - DAYSHIFT WFH
AutoCAD (2D and 3D) AU Draftsperson
Role Overview
The AutoCAD Draftsperson will support a small commercial construction business by producing high-quality 2D and 3D drawings for multiple engineering disciplines. The role is project-based with workloads that ramp up or down depending on project stage.
Key Responsibilities
Produce accurate 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for:
Water treatment plants
Sewerage systems
Pumping stations
Electrical switchboards & MCCs
Pipelines and mechanical components
Interpret and convert single-line diagrams markups and pro forma examples into detailed drawings.
Apply correct GC21 contract format title blocks layers and XREF standards.
Ensure drawings comply with Australian construction standards (NSW-focused but adaptable to other states).
Required Skills & Experience
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D).
Experience in commercial construction drawings especially multi-trade layouts (electrical civil mechanical).
Understanding of Australian standards GC21 contract formatting title blocks and XREF
management.
Ability to interpret engineering markups and convert them into final drawing packages.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on project-based workloads.
Able to estimate project hours based on provided plans/drawings.
