Job Description

This is a remote position.

Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM (PST)

Timezone : Pacific Standard Time (PST)

Total Weekly Hours : 40 hours

This position reports directly to the CEO and involves consistent communication to coordinate all leasing activities and tenant relations, among other operational tasks.

The ideal candidate will uphold a high standard of ethics, fostering goodwill, rapport, and a strong sense of community pride. This role requires flexibility, initiative, and a proactive mindset, along with a positive, “can-do” attitude.

Responsibilities

Leasing

Complete leasing templates and list vacant units for lease in AppFolio.

Keep listings current across online marketing platforms.

Track vacant rent-ready units and market them through all available channels.

Perform tenant screenings and background checks.

Draft and send lease agreements for signatures.

Manage the move-in process within the accounting system.

Coordinate move-ins and showings with onsite managers.

Prepare and send official correspondence to tenants as needed.

Tenant Program Coordination

Submit RTA / RFTA housing packets to the Public Housing Authority.

Coordinate inspections and move-ins.

Work with Section 8 advisors and Case Management to process tenant applications.

Resident Liaison

Attend weekly and monthly online meetings with site management.

Follow up with managers on upcoming move-ins and move-outs.

Collect move-in documentation, photos, and videos of rent-ready units for marketing use.

AppFolio Database Maintenance

Maintain all tenant files within AppFolio.

Track and update tenant recurring charges.

Verify and ensure the accuracy of all tenant charges.

Add notes and upload relevant documents to tenant records in AppFolio.

Requirements

Previous experience in property management or a related field.

Strong ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proven customer service orientation and professional demeanor.

Experience using AppFolio or other property management software.

Positive attitude and ability to communicate effectively with tenants and associates.
