Specific Duties and Responsibilities :
- Heads the Survey Section and in charge of all data and information and jobs pertaining to survey
- Preparation of annual plan for his / her section in accordance with the policy direction of the Department
- Conducts annual goal setting for individual and team performances using the SMART framework
- Communication of plans to staff and work delegations
- Implementation of operational plans and ensure successful execution and achievement of planned results
- Conducts progress monitoring of work to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Directing and scheduling of survey works in the field and office
- Supervise the inspection of all working areas to be surveyed to ensure personnel safety
- Establish the strategic location of survey control stations within the area of interest
- Directs survey works requested by other departments upon the approval of the Mine Engineering Manager
- Provides the survey plans, maps and topographic surveys requested by other departments upon the approval of the Mine Engineering Manager
- Directs the uploading of recorded data from the survey instruments, and processing survey results using relevant surveying and mine planning software
- Preparation of monthly and periodic pit progress map, weekly ore stockpile inventory, and other reports required by the Mine Engineering Manager
- Coordinate with the Mine Planning Section Head on target excavation areas to install necessary survey controls and limits as required
- Accounts for the accuracy of production volume submitted to the mine planning section head and plotted maps submitted to the other departments
- Review, prepare and recommend changes in the standard operation procedures of the section
- Conduct risk assessment in all area for all activities, and ensure compliance with safety environmental policies
- Establish and maintain long term relationships with other surveyor and managers
- Perform other task that may be assigned by the Mine Engineering Manager
Minimum Competency Standards :
Must be a licensed Geodetic EngineerExperience in Surveying is preferred but not requiredFresh grad are welcome to applyProficiency in Surveying Instruments (Trimble, Total Station, GPS)Proficiency in surveying, mine planning software and other CAD software (Surpac, Agisoft, AutoCAD); MS OfficeKnowledgeable with aerial survey (drone)Excellent in written and oral communication skillsWith high professional integrityMust be honest and dependableWith good planning and management skillsMust be systematic and a team playerAble to meet deadline consistentlyNo adverse record, whether proven or not, involving corruption, bribery, dishonesty or misappropriation of funds in any organization or office
