We’re looking for an experienced Banking Enterprise Architect to lead the design and modernization of core banking architecture using industry-standard frameworks such as BIAN. The role involves shaping the target-state architecture, defining integration strategies, and ensuring technology solutions align with business goals across the financial services landscape.
Key Responsibilities :
- Define and implement enterprise banking architecture aligned with the organization’s business and digital transformation objectives.
- Apply BIAN (Banking Industry Architecture Network) principles to map, modularize, and optimize business capabilities.
- Assess existing systems and identify areas for simplification, consolidation, and modernization.
- Develop architectural roadmaps that enable composable, API-driven banking solutions.
- Collaborate with business, application, and infrastructure teams to ensure architectural consistency and scalability.
- Lead design discussions on service boundaries, data domains, and integration layers.
- Guide development and delivery teams in adopting BIAN-aligned service models and reusable components.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, security, and compliance requirements.
- Communicate architecture decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
12+ years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture, with a strong focus on banking or financial services.Proven experience with BIAN framework, TOGAF, or other enterprise architecture methodologies.Strong understanding of core banking systems, integration architectures, and API-led design.Experience with microservices, cloud platforms, and data-driven architectures.Background in payments, lending, customer servicing, or deposits is preferred.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Certifications in BIAN, TOGAF, or ArchiMate are a plus.Seniority level
