Job Summary : Manage tax compliance, clients, employees and various tax projects through all related phases of the tax process with minimal supervision. Tax work will consist of various industries, including manufacturing, oil and gas, insurance, health care, governmental, wholesale / distribution, financial institution and nonprofit companies.
Responsibilities
- Obtain expertise in a specialized area, with a demonstrated general understanding of all areas of taxation
- Responsible for delivering efficient completion of quality tax returns and providing excellent client service
- Prepare complex returns with minimal supervision
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, including monitoring changes in tax legislation and implementing necessary adjustments to tax reporting
- Complete a full analysis and investigation of client needs prior to representing the client to the Internal Revenue Services
- Supervise and train tax seniors, staff and interns to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax work
- Actively contribute to POD / Team management, taking ownership of various projects and reporting to the senior management team
- Assist in developing guidelines for the team to follow while preparing respective tax documentation after analysing US tax provisions for public and private companies
- Maintain active communication with respective stakeholders to manage expectations, ensure deadlines are met, and enhance relationships
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college5-7 years of progressive functional experience in a relevant role, with 1040 and 1065 forms processing experienceCPA preferred, but Enrolled Agent Certification is acceptedKnowledge of Advanced Excel & other tools and platformsKnowledge of US taxation principles procedures and lawsKnowledge of Corporate taxation principles procedures and lawsKnowledge of Internal Audit principles and processKnowledge of document and report preparation for management information and controlUnderstanding of tax operations of shared service organizations and In-house Captive centers including evolving global and local megatrends and best practiceUnderstanding of tax landscape and evolving working styles in industry with a focus on the tax accounting segmentAs a Manager you are expected to have great Budget management skills; Communication & Presentation Skills; Learning Agility; Conflict Resolution; Team LeadershipWFH TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
