Job Description

This is a remote position.

Work Schedule : Monday to Friday 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm Sydney Time with 1 hour unpaid break.

Responsibilities :

  • Convert bills of quantities (BAQs) and design plans into  comprehensive, detailed draft proposals
  • Work with both landscape and building project estimates as the company expands service offerings
  • Collaborate with existing senior estimator during transition period to learn company standards and processes
  • Support sales team by providing accurate, timely estimates that align with company pricing strategies
  • Maintain estimation accuracy to support the company’s high conversion rates
  • Learn and implement new estimation systems and software as company transitions platforms
  • Ensure estimates align with project specifications and company profitability targets
  • Document estimation processes and methodologies for consistency and training purposes

Scope :

  • Full-time position with 80% estimation work, 20% potential sales  support initially
  • Will transition to primarily estimation focus as company structure evolves
  • Strong mentorship and support from experienced senior estimator during onboarding
  • Opportunity to work on both residential landscaping and building projects
  • Role may evolve based on company growth and individual performance
  • Part of planned expansion that will likely include additional estimators and design staff in the future

    • Requirements :

  • Proven experience in construction or landscaping estimation
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Experience with estimation software (willingness to learn new platforms)
  • Understanding of construction / landscaping materials, labor costs, and project timelines
  • Excellent communication skills to work with sales, design, and operations teams
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of Australian building codes and landscaping industry standards preferred

    Requirements
