Head of Investment Research and Strategy

The Head of Investment Research and Strategy is responsible for providing innovative, accurate and value-added research in terms of company / sector, macro‑economy, quantitative analysis both local and global, to support BPI Wealth’s initiatives to diversify and expand investment outlets. It is also their responsibility to provide value-added research to be used in tactical and strategic asset allocation.

Responsibilities

• Reviews all investment proposals for new accreditation prior to presentation to the Investment Committee and Wealth Board for approval
• Oversees the annual review of all investment outlets
• Oversees the creation of timely and innovative new research pertaining to company / sector, thematic, macro‑economy and quant analysis
• Provides insightful, comprehensive and accurate macroeconomic presentations to support the research-related requirements of internal clients, primarily the strategic and tactical investment decisions of the Investment Committee and also external clients
• Assists Portfolio Managers in making accurate calls on the market and economy to support generation of above benchmark returns / performance
• Oversees the preparation of fixed income / equity / macro research-related requirements on an ad hoc basis, e.g., press statement, pitches for awards, etc.
