About the Client

Our partner is a U.S.-based technology company transforming how childcare centers hire and manage staff. In response to the nationwide staffing shortage, they built an innovative platform that connects qualified childcare professionals with centers that need coverage quickly and reliably.

By enabling centers to find fully credentialed workers on demand, they help open classrooms, increase enrollment, and reduce burnout. At the same time, they empower educators with flexible work options and instant access to their earnings—revitalizing an industry long overdue for change.

Position Overview

The Account Executive plays a key role in driving customer activation by converting inbound and warm leads into active accounts. This person will engage directly with childcare center administrators, directors, and hiring managers, helping them understand Tandem’s value, guiding them through setup, and ensuring they successfully post their first job.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to inbound leads via phone or scheduled meetings, addressing questions and presenting the platform’s value clearly.
  • Conduct outbound calls to warm leads generated through marketing campaigns, email, and website engagement.
  • Onboard new childcare centers by assisting them in creating and activating their accounts.
  • Guide new users through posting their first job and ensure they become active customers.
  • Follow up with accounts that have not yet posted or completed onboarding steps to drive engagement and revenue.
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and progress within HubSpot CRM.

Requirements

Must-Have

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, account management, or customer success.
  • Strong communication and phone skills, with confidence in handling inbound and outbound calls.
  • Excellent organizational skills; able to manage multiple leads and follow-ups efficiently.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools such as HubSpot or similar.
  • Self-driven, reliable, and motivated by measurable goals and performance targets.
  • Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in B2B sales, early childhood education, or labor marketplaces.
  • Familiarity with SaaS or startup sales environments.
