Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
Analyse data to derive actionable insights and recommend products strategies.
Develop and implement product plans that align with the company's overall strategy and market demands.
Define product positioning, target markets, and competitive advantages.
Collaborate with engineering, design, and marketing teams to ensure product plans are feasible and aligned with company goals.
Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Monitor product performance and make necessary adjustments based on market feedback and sales data, such as managing BYD year model, facelift and next generation.
Work closely with sales, marketing, engineering, and production teams to ensure seamless product development and launch processes.
Facilitate communication and coordination among different departments to achieve product objectives.
Develop and manage product budgets and forecasts.
Analyze the financial performance of products and recommend cost-saving measures or revenue-enhancing strategies.
Engage with our distributors and dealers to gather feedback and ensure customer satisfaction and great user experiences.
Qualification
Bachelor's degree or higher. Engineering (Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.), Business Administration, Marketing, or Economics preferred. MBA or equivalent advanced management degree from a recognized institution is a significant advantage.
8+ years of experience in the automotive industry
5+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, Strategic Planning, or a closely related field, with at least 3 years in a team leadership role.
Fluent in English (written & spoken), capable as the primary working language.
Exceptional market research capabilities using quantitative (data analytics) and qualitative (user interviews, focus groups) methods to gain deep insights into Filipino consumer needs, pain points, purchase drivers, and usage scenarios.
Deep familiarity with Philippine market segments (Passenger vehicles - various sedan / SUV / MPV segments)
Ability to develop clear, actionable holistic product strategies for the Philippine market (Short-term 1-3 years, Mid-term 3-5 years), including product line planning, target segment selection, positioning, pricing, and volume forecasting
Essential : Superior cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills. Must excel at building trust, managing expectations, influencing stakeholders, and driving consensus within complex matrix structures (Philippine team, China HQ leadership, other regional / global teams).
Communicate clearly and persuasively with diverse audiences (HQ execs, local management, frontline sales) and backgrounds (technical, sales, marketing).
Results-Driven & Execution Focus : Strong goal orientation and sense of urgency. Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and ensure flawless execution, taking accountability for market results.
