Position Overview
The Infrastructure and Security Operations Center Lead will oversee the local infrastructure and information security teams in Manila, working closely with global functional chapter leads in a matrix organization. This role is responsible for driving team engagement and performance, ensuring operational excellence, strategic alignment, and continual improvement across functional chapters such as Network, Windows / Linux, Database, Middleware, End User Services, Identity and Access Management, and Project Management. The Center Lead will collaborate with regional and global infrastructure chapter leads to develop the local workforce, drive team performance, and shape the center’s evolution and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Manage and mentor the Manila infrastructure and security teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture in partnership with global chapter leads.
- Ensure teams have the necessary resources, skills, and support to meet objectives.
Operational Oversight
Oversee operational delivery in alignment with chapter leads.Support timely resolution of IT issues to minimize business disruptions.Strategic Planning & Execution
Develop and execute strategic plans for the operations center, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Identify improvement opportunities, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and recommend solutions to enhance performance and efficiency.Service Improvement
Drive continual service improvement initiatives to elevate infrastructure operations quality.Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with key stakeholders and chapter leads to align local IT infrastructure and security with chapter and business needs.Technical Expertise
Stay current with infrastructure technology trends; provide guidance to resolve complex issues and ensure optimal performance.Vendor Management
Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors; manage contracts in collaboration with procurement for cost-effective delivery.Compliance & Security
Collaborate with HR, compliance, and security teams to ensure IT policies and procedures are current and systems comply with regulatory and company standards.Implement security measures to protect data, networks, and infrastructure assets.Budgeting & Cost Control
Prepare and manage the local operations center budget; monitor expenditures and optimize costs.Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or a relevant field.10+ years of proven experience in infrastructure management, IT security, and IT operations (data centers, networks, servers, workplace / end user services, cloud computing).Strong leadership skills with experience managing IT teams and driving performance.Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members, senior management, and stakeholders.Technical proficiency in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, networks, and systems.Ability to manage projects.Strong problem-solving aptitude.Experience working in a multi-national environment.ITIL Certification preferred.Fluent in English
