Job Description
The Program Assistant is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day operations of the Catch-up Clubs, primarily by acting as a coach / monitor to volunteer community learning / inclusion facilitators and partner-implementers to ensure that CuC sessions and complementary services are effectively run by them. S / he supports the management team by ensuring that organizational and project guidelines are taken into consideration and complied with. S / he also supports MEAL through first-level gathering and encoding of data, database updating, and knowledge assets organizing. The post holder will also support in the scale-up activities of the Catch-up Clubs, particularly doing field work and / or coordinating with partners and target donors.

Requirements
Essential skills, knowledge or experience Solid background and expertise in basic education and coordination. At least 2 years work experience in a community development setting Strength in interpersonal relations, teamwork Above average oral and written communication skills; knowledgeable in computer operations; requires minimum supervision Familiarity with local governance processes and experience in working with LGUs and on civil society participation is preferred particularly in relation to co-designing and child participation Experience in engaging duty bearers and facilitating child-participation, use of child rights approaches, gender development and inclusion principles in development or humanitarian settings Strong sense of urgency and work ethics, particularly in timeliness (organizing and prioritizing) and quality in programming Familiarity and experience with the concepts of human rights, empowering civil society, local governance, children’s rights and child protection Can deal with various levels of stakeholders—from decision-makers to field level practitioners Must have a high sense of urgency and well-developed work ethic. Resilience to stress, agility to abrupt changes and can multitask. Understands and believes in Save the Children’s mission and vision; commits to its objectives and willing to adopt Save the Children’s methodology and framework Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact, diplomacy and strong belief in personal commitment to gender equality and inclusion.
